BLACK WAXX is an underground collective and record label built from the ground up by artist and producer Marcus Voss, also known as mindwax. Born out of a thirty-year obsession with the underground, from the raw energy of German warehouse raves to the forest parties of the UK, the label was created as a sanctuary for music that is raw, hypnotic, and unapologetically bold.

We don’t chase trends, and we don’t follow formulas. In an industry often driven by algorithms and metrics, we put the artist first and the sound front and centre. Every release on BLACK WAXX comes with intention. Whether it’s the relentless precision of Hard Techno, the organic pulse of Afro House, or the high-octane energy of Drum & Bass, the rule is simple: if it moves us, it moves with us.

What started as a personal vehicle for solo projects has naturally grown into a “Collective PowerHouse”, a home for collaboration, visual storytelling, and absolute sonic freedom. From the technical focus of mindwax to the soulful alchemy of NOCOLOUR, the energetic D&B of MENTALI6X, and the seasoned techno grooves of Rob Steven, we are a tight-knit circle of trust.

We aren’t trying to fit in, we’re building something that lasts. From the peak-time club systems to your own headphones, BLACK WAXX is about deep energy, high-level sound design, and pure artistic control.

2025
The Blueprint - Year one was about laying the foundation and turning the vision into a reality. We shifted from scattered projects to a unified collective, planting the BLACK WAXX Records flag firmly in the ground. It was the moment we brought the full roster together, focused the energy, and proved that a DIY ethic backed by a professional mindset could cut through the noise. With all seven artists and projects, including mindwax, NOCOLOUR, MENTALI6X, VOSS, Mr Wax, Dirty Inc, and Rob Steven, we established a diverse sonic front. From launching debut releases to watching the label's sound hit the national airwaves with consistent BBC support, the momentum started early. We spent the year refining the craft, dropping the Numbers EP, and setting the high-end standard for the entire collective. No filler, just the raw architecture of what’s to come.
2026
The Expansion - 2026 has been about taking that foundation and scaling it into a powerhouse of consistent output. We’ve moved past the "blueprint" stage and into full-throttle execution, with a release schedule that keeps the pressure on through July and beyond. This year is about visibility, momentum, and solidifying our presence in the scene. So far, we’ve achieved a relentless release rhythm, ensuring every artist in the collective—mindwax, NOCOLOUR, MENTALI6X, VOSS, Mr Wax, Dirty Inc, and Rob Steven—has their voice heard. From club-ready heaters to experimental soundscapes, we are pressing forward with purpose, backed by continued support from major platforms and a growing global community. We aren’t just releasing music, we’re building a legacy.
